The Verkhovna Rada extended martial law: what has changed in deferments.
The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has extended martial law and general mobilization for 90 days from November 5, 2025, to February 3, 2026. The state introduces new rules for obtaining deferments from conscription and digitizes military records.
New rules for obtaining deferments
According to inkorr.com: As of November 1, 2025, changes regarding the receipt of deferments have come into effect. They can now be obtained online through the 'Reserve+' application or directly at Centers for Administrative Services (CNAAP).
If you have a special status, your deferment will be automatically extended, and you will not need to submit a new application.
Basic military service
Please note that basic military service began on September 1, 2025, and applies to all men aged 18 to 25. This period will last for 90 days, and upon its completion, you will be assigned a military specialty.
Thus, the Verkhovna Rada has extended martial law and mobilization for another 90 days, introduced new rules for obtaining deferments, and launched a digital military record. These changes are aimed at enhancing the country's defense capability and ensuring the safety of citizens.
