Ukrenergo unveils fraud scheme with 'official' blackout schedules.
The National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo' warned consumers about the excessive spread of false information regarding the creation of 'official' pages related to electricity blackout schedules, particularly in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
The company emphasizes that this is manipulation on the topic of returning consumption restrictions. 'Ukrenergo' urges not to click on the links provided in such posts, as fraudsters might use the data needed to register on such telegram channels for fraudulent purposes.
Instead, 'Ukrenergo' and the Kyiv Digital service have launched an official information system about the state of the power system. Up-to-date information about blackout schedules in the capital can be found there.
Moreover, 'Ukrenergo' is working on the creation of an application in which residents of all regions of Ukraine will be able to receive information about the state of the power system, the likelihood of outages, and plan rational electricity consumption throughout the day.
Currently, consumers can receive such information from the Dispatcher Center for each region using the 'Ukrenergo Dispatcher' telegram bot. You can join it via the link or by searching for @UkrEnergo_ConsumersInfo_Bot.
Additionally, 'Ukrenergo' reports on the continuation of measures to eliminate the consequences of the missile-drone attack that occurred on August 26. Due to the hostilities and other reasons, 568 settlements remain without electricity. Measures to limit electricity consumption will continue throughout the day.
Due to heat, electricity consumption remains high in most regions of Ukraine. On the morning of August 28, the highest daily peak consumption was recorded, which turned out to be 4.8% higher than the previous day.
In most regions of Ukraine, from 7:00 to 22:00, three outage queues will be applied simultaneously. The schedules for using restrictions in each region can be found on the websites of local power companies or their social media pages.
Ukrenergo reminds that the Ukrainian power system is recovering after nine massive attacks from Russia, there is a power capacity deficit, and emergency and planned repairs are ongoing at energy facilities. The company calls for the efficient use of electricity.
