The governments of the United Kingdom and France plan to engage in a joint development of a peace plan with Russia together with Ukraine. This was reported by the Financial Times.

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer stated that Europe plans to collaborate with Ukraine to develop a 'ceasefire' plan with Russia.

Starmer also noted that before presenting the peace plan to US President Donald Trump, the UK, France, and possibly several other countries would work jointly on it with Ukraine.

These statements were made by Starmer after a summit of 19 countries in London, where plans to support Ukraine were discussed following the unsuccessful meeting between Zelensky and Trump at the White House. NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte stated that discussions on US security guarantees for Ukraine continue, although Trump is not ready to provide many guarantees.

The summit also discussed military issues and support for Ukraine. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated that her country is open to sending peacekeepers to Ukraine and expressed support for Zelensky. The European Council also announced plans to hold a special meeting to ensure peace in Ukraine.
