In Moldova, the processing of voter protocols in the presidential elections and the constitutional referendum on European integration is concluding

The current head of state, Maia Sandu, is gaining the majority of votes, but the outcome of the referendum is currently unpredictable, reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to the interim data of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova.

Already processed are 2108 out of 2219 protocols for the presidential elections held in Moldova on Sunday, October 20. This amounts to exactly 95%.

Sandu is gaining 39.85% (562140) of the votes, her main competitor in the elections - pro-Russian politician Alexandr Stoianoglo - has 27.71% (388801). The leader of the 'Our Party' Renato Usatîi has 13.74% (193865) of the votes.

At the same Time, for the referendum, the gap between 'For' and 'Against' Moldova's European integration has been narrowing in the last few hours. This is due to the active counting of votes from overseas polling stations, where the overwhelming majority supports European integration.

Thus, it can be stated that the result of the constitutional referendum in Moldova is currently impossible to predict.

Note that 2114 out of 2219 protocols for the referendum have been processed, constituting 95.27%. 'Yes' was said by 48.20% (656292) of participants, while 'No' was said by 51.80% (705307).
