Weather forecast in Ukraine: sunny weather and frosts expected
On February 24, predominantly sunny weather without precipitation is expected in Ukraine. Only in the eastern regions, a light snow is possible, which will stop by the evening. This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko.
Frosts will continue, reminding of winter. The coldest temperatures will be in the north of the country, where at night the temperature will drop to -10...-16 degrees. In other regions, -9...-12 degrees are expected, while in the west and south, -3...-9 degrees.
The warmest will be in the western regions, where temperatures will rise to +2...+6 degrees. Most areas will have temperatures ranging from -3 degrees to +2 degrees, while in the east of the country, frosts of -3...-7 degrees will still persist.
In Kyiv, on February 24, it will also be dry and sunny. At night, temperatures are expected to be -12...-14 degrees, while during the day, 0...-2 degrees.
This is the first step towards warming, which is already noticeably approaching, Didenko noted.
The meteorologist also noted that from February 25-26, the frosts will ease, and the air temperature will gradually rise. In eastern Ukraine, the easing of frosts is possible closer to March 1.
The change to spring weather, to warming will occur gradually, calmly, without sharp changes, Didenko emphasized, adding that 'icy frosts' will last another two to three nights.
