From 4 to 96 thousand: how Ukrainians' pensions differ.
State expenditures on special pensions in Ukraine will reach 120 billion hryvnias by the end of 2024. In the first nine months of the current year, 88 billion have already been spent.
Among the recipients of special pensions are 6867 retired prosecutors, some of whom continue to work in positions and receive pension payments.
Special pensions are also provided to judges, former civil servants, law enforcement officers, and military personnel. As of the beginning of 2023, the average pension of a prosecutor was 21.5 thousand hryvnias, which is 4.5 times more than the average pension in the country. Judges received even more - 96 thousand hryvnias, which is 21 times the average indicator.
