Which cars from 2024 should you stay away from.
Experts from the German ADAC tested new cars over 12 months that broke down on the road to determine whether to buy a new car from the dealership for 2024 or a used car that is only a year old. This was reported by the Moto portal.
As part of the testing, 84 car models of various types were investigated. Each car was evaluated based on 300 criteria, including safety, environmental impact, comfort, engine performance, energy consumption, and other parameters.
During the tests, Volkswagen received an 'excellent' rating for its ID.7 electric vehicle from ADAC for the first time, surpassing more expensive premium cars in the ranking such as the BMW i5 and Porsche Taycan.
Top 10 new cars (2024)
The top 10 best cars included exclusively electric vehicles, except for the Skoda Superb with a traditional diesel engine. ADAC noted the mentioned models for their comfort, quietness during driving, eco-friendliness, and overall driving experience.

- BMW i5 eDrive40: 1.6;
- Porsche Taycan Performance Plus: 1.6;
- and others.
In total, 74 out of 84 models were recognized as good cars, receiving scores from 1.6 to 2.5 points.
10 worst new cars (2024)
Among the models with the lowest ratings was the Dacia Duster TCe 100 ECO-G. Many cars on the list are already outdated, so their performance lags behind new models.
