Heating Shutdown in Kyiv: When Will the Heating Season End in the Capital.

The city authorities of Kyiv are postponing the end of the heating season due to the expected cold weather. This was reported by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Petro Panteleyev. According to him, the heating system in Kyiv is one of the largest in Europe, so the process of turning off heating will take up to a week. The decision is also influenced by the lack of heating, which may lead to a shortage of electricity and damage to the Ukrainian energy system.
Panteleyev emphasized that the city authorities always take temperature readings into account before ending the heating season to rationally use energy resources and avoid unnecessary costs. He reminded that the previous heating season in Kyiv ended on March 28. The city's heating enterprises constantly monitor the temperature and forecast the weather, and will turn off heating when the weather conditions stabilize and steady warmth is established.
It should be noted that earlier the National Bank of Ukraine published a forecast regarding gas and heating tariffs.
