«The war freed me from hell». Ex-MP talked about the psychological tortures her family endured.

Civic activist, journalist, former deputy and military member Tetyana Chornovol said that her children grew up without a father and felt resentment because of the slander and defamation of their mother. She noted that her children constantly felt the hatred of the surrounding people when they were with her in public places.

According to Tetyana Chornovol, her children felt proud of her once when they saw a concrete block that had been painted and turned into a monument to the Revolution of Dignity, bearing her name. However, the next Time her children's friends showed them the block, it had already been repainted.

Tetyana Chornovol also recalled that she received an order for courage, but she believes it was unfair and humiliating. She noted that she is currently being persecuted for the arson of the Party of Regions office.

The civic activist declared that she would no longer represent the interests of society in the Verkhovna Rada.

Tetyana Chornovol also recalled an offensive incident when everyone laughed at her and her psychological state, being a widow and a deputy. Her daughter asked why everyone was laughing at her mother, and the father didn't know how to answer.

Tetyana Chornovol is known for her investigations into the corruption schemes of the Yanukovych regime and her participation in the Maidan. She also participated in the defense of Mariupol and became the organizer of the case regarding the confiscation of Yanukovych's assets into the state budget.

On December 25, 2013, Tetyana Chornovol was beaten on the highway, but she survived. She stated that the attack on her occurred on Yanukovych's orders.

Tetyana Chornovol's husband died in a battle near Ilovaisk.

Currently, Tetyana Chornovol is participating in the war as part of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians and commands an anti-tank missile system "Stugna-P" as part of the 1st separate special-purpose brigade named after Ivan Bohun.
