Member of Parliament and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence Fedir Venislavskyi expressed his opinion on the demobilization bill with service terms. He stated that such a law could undermine the statehood of Ukraine. Venislavskyi referred to information from intelligence services, according to which Russia is constantly increasing its military presence in Ukraine. He also noted that the Verkhovna Rada supported the demobilization bill, but it has not yet been presented. Venislavskyi noted that the situation is difficult for the Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, but demanding the introduction of a legislative act now could be dangerous. He assured that the Verkhovna Rada is working on this issue, but there is still no simple solution.

In turn, Ukrainian servicewoman Tetiana Chornovol expressed the opinion that those military personnel who have long been involved in combat have a better chance of survival than recruits. She emphasized the need to support the desire of the military to return home and professional growth.

Also, serviceman Serhii Hnezdiolov announced his voluntary resignation from the army in protest against the lack of established service terms and the violation of citizens' rights to defend the state according to the Constitution.

A court in the Yavoriv district of Lviv region sentenced a Lviv resident who deserted from military service to five years in prison.
