Conscripts in Lviv Region Win Court Case Against Recruitment Center.

A resident of Lviv region filed a lawsuit regarding the recruitment center's disregard of his request for a deferment from mobilization, which he sent by mail. The court found the inaction of the military enlistment office employees to be unlawful. According to the decision published in November 2024, the recruitment center must consider the documents sent by mail.
The statement notes that the conscript resident of Lviv region is constantly taking care of his grandmother, who has a first-degree disability. In May of this year, he sent a package of documents to the recruitment center to obtain a deferment from conscription during mobilization. However, his documents were ignored by the military enlistment office employees. To recognize the actions of the recruitment center as unlawful and compel them to consider the documents sent by mail, the resident of Lviv region turned to the court.
It is also noted that the representative of the recruitment center did not take the opportunity to provide a response to the lawsuit. Typically, in such cases, employees of the recruitment center may disregard documents sent by mail, requiring the personal presence of the individual at the recruitment center.
The case was considered in court
The case was presided over by Judge Zoryana Luny. She established that the recruitment center did not consider the application of the conscript, therefore the inaction of the military enlistment office employees is unlawful. The judge obligated the recruitment center to consider the application sent by mail in light of the court's conclusions. The decision may be appealed.
We remind that employees of the State Bureau of Investigation uncovered personnel from the Odesa District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, who demanded money from conscripts at the region's checkpoints.
Additionally, in the city of Polonne in Khmelnytskyi region, one resident offered military personnel at the territorial recruitment center $200 to buy his way out of mobilization. After refusal, he used tear gas.
Evading Mobilization
Earlier in Transcarpathia, another scheme of evading mobilization was uncovered, for which six individuals were suspected. Among the suspects are officials, medical staff, and former law enforcement officers.
