Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Dmytro Rostovtsev.
The life of Ukrainian defender Dmytro Rostovtsev, who performed combat missions in the hot spots of Donetsk and Kharkiv, was cut short on March 13, 2025. This was reported by Glavkom with reference to the Lviv City Council.
Dmytro Rostovtsev was born on November 29, 1971, in Lviv. He studied at Lyceum No. 6 of the Lviv City Council. He received his education at the Lviv Radio Electronics Technical School (today - V.V. Chornovil Institute of Sustainable Development of the Lviv Polytechnic National University).
For almost twenty years, he worked at the Limited Liability Company 'Scientific Research Production Enterprise 'Dzhrelo'. In his free Time, he actively engaged in sports and was fond of tennis.
According to relatives, Dmytro Rostovtsev was a very sincere, fair, and honest person, a wonderful and loving son, and a good and worthy friend.
After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend the Motherland from Russian occupiers in the ranks of the 125th Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense of the Western Regional Administration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He graduated with honors from the training center in Zhytomyr and obtained the specialty of a pilot-operator of unmanned aerial vehicles, later performing combat missions in the hot spots of Donetsk and Kharkiv.
During his service, he was awarded the rank of junior sergeant and received a commendation from the commander of the operational command 'West' - the 'Silver Cross'.
The soldier's funeral service took place on March 18, 2025, at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. The defender was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
Dmytro Rostovtsev is survived by his parents.
