Lviv Power Outage Schedule for January 31st Following Russian Strikes.
Power Outages in Lviv and the Surrounding Region
According to Novyny.live: Due to severe strain on Ukraine's national energy grid caused by Russian missile and drone attacks on infrastructure, scheduled power outages will be implemented in Lviv and the Lviv region on January 31, 2023. These emergency measures are required to prevent a wider system failure and to maintain regional grid stability.
The local energy company, Lvivoblenergo, has published detailed outage schedules via its Telegram channel to help residents plan their day. The power cuts will be carried out in multiple stages throughout the 24-hour period.
Lviv Power Cut Schedule for January 31:
- 1.1 — from 08:00 to 11:00
- 1.2 — from 14:30 to 18:00
- 2.1 — from 00:00 to 04:00
- 2.2 — from 11:00 to 14:30
- 3.1 — from 21:30 to 24:00
- 3.2 — from 18:00 to 21:30
- 4.1 — from 21:30 to 24:00

- 6.1 — from 11:00 to 14:30
- 6.2 — from 18:00 to 21:30
These controlled blackouts are part of nationwide efforts to manage the crippled energy system during a period of sustained assault. Such emergency schedules have become a grim routine for millions of Ukrainians since Russia began systematically targeting power facilities in the fall of 2022.
The necessity for outages in Lviv underscores how the war continues to severely degrade Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, disrupting daily life across the country. The schedules released by Lvivoblenergo aim to provide residents with some predictability. These temporary measures are essential for balancing the grid and may be repeated if the situation does not improve.
