The family of a deceased serviceman has the right to his payments: who will receive the money.
When a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dies, but has not received his payments, this money must be transferred to his family. According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, this primarily concerns the wife (or husband) of the deceased serviceman, or, in the absence of marriage, other relatives.
If the serviceman's death occurred during combat or while defending the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, and he did not have time to receive all payments, his family must be given this money.
Who can receive payments
In the event that the serviceman had no family at the time of death, other relatives have the right to monetary payments. Among them are adult children who lived with the serviceman before his military service, legal guardians or adoptive parents of children, individuals who were dependent on the deceased, and the parents of the serviceman.
All these relatives will receive a portion of the monetary provision of the deceased serviceman.
Previously, we already talked about payments for the serviceman's funeral and the necessary documents to receive burial assistance.
In short, if the serviceman died without receiving payments, his relatives have the right to receive the corresponding compensation, divided among themselves.Read also
