Kyrylo Budanov gains 32% in hypothetical elections: what the polls show.
According to ТСН: The expert notes that the results of the polls indicate a growing support for the head of the GUR, Kyrylo Budanov. He scores 10.9% in the first round and 32.1% in the second, which, alongside Volodymyr Zelensky, may indicate his victory over the current president.
“Such attention to Budanov is a strong signal from society not so much for 'new faces', but rather for rationality and strategic thinking, for a new approach to conducting the war and governing the state in such challenging times,” the expert notes.
The blogger also draws attention to the possible elections to the Verkhovna Rada, where Budanov's party has around 14% support and ranks among the top three leaders.
The analyst emphasizes that Budanov's high results are not a consequence of a political campaign, but rather a reflection of his open and often tough public stance.
“We saw this in his (editor's note - Budanov's) latest interviews - explaining the world as it is, rather than how we would like it to be,” Prokopyshyn emphasizes.
According to the expert, the poll results reflect societal expectations for a new quality of public administration after the war, which Kyrylo Budanov demonstrates as the head of military intelligence.
It's worth noting that earlier, the head of the Sociology group “Rating”, Oleksiy Antipovych, emphasized that Kyrylo Budanov is perceived as an “effective security officer” since the GUR carries out successful special operations.
The situation in Ukraine continues to remain tense, and the poll results indicate the public's desire to see new faces on the political scene. Budanov's likely victory could change the balance of power in the country and influence strategies in wartime conditions.
