Steve Witkoff has started negotiations with Ukraine and the EU: what is being discussed with Putin.
Special representative of the US president Steve Witkoff began a meeting with Ukrainian and European officials on August 7. They are discussing his upcoming meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
This was reported by Suspilne, citing an informed source.

The officials are discussing further steps towards ending the war. Attention is also focused on a possible meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
It is noted that Steve Witkoff plans to hold discussions with representatives from Ukraine, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom to discuss the outcomes of his talks with Putin.
It should be reminded that earlier Vladimir Zelensky responded regarding how he envisions the negotiations with Trump and Putin. He believes they should take place in a trilateral format.
Also earlier, Trump announced a new condition for a meeting with Putin. This is only possible if the Kremlin chief agrees to meet with Zelensky.
The heads of state and their special representatives continue to discuss the possibility of a peaceful resolution of the conflict as well as the conditions for future meetings between the leaders of world powers.
