Trump expelled journalists and offered them food: what was discussed with Zelensky.
According to ТСН: US President Donald Trump during negotiations with the Ukrainian delegation led by Volodymyr Zelensky expelled journalists from his residence, promising to give them food instead.
“I think you could go outside and grab a bite. Do you want to eat or will you consider it a bribe and therefore cannot write honestly? So don’t you want something to snack on at this time? Yes or no? You can respond. Right? Good. Get them outside. Tell the chef to serve them a small lunch, okay? Thank you, press,” the head of the White House addressed the journalists present.
Trump also addressed Zelensky, noting that this could improve the journalists' attitude, although he himself doubted it. At the same time, Zelensky smiled as he listened to him.
Closed-format negotiations
After this, both leaders sat down at the negotiating table together with their teams, where the closed part of the meeting began.
It is worth reminding that during the meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, Donald Trump noted the existing opportunities for concluding an agreement, which would be beneficial for Ukraine. He also emphasized that there are no urgent deadlines for concluding the agreement.
This meeting confirms the activation of dialogue between the USA and Ukraine, which may be crucial for future relations between the countries. In the context of the international political situation, it is important to provide support to Ukraine and find points of contact for cooperation on strategic issues.
