India strikes Pakistan: victims and injuries
Pakistani Armed Forces representative Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry reported on the consequences of the missile strike carried out by India on the night of May 7. He noted that as a result of the attack, eight Pakistani citizens were killed, 35 were injured, and two people are still unaccounted for.
Indian military, in turn, reported that 17 terrorists were killed during the operation, and 60 people were injured. This operation, known as 'Sindhur', was aimed at eliminating terrorist camps.
Comment by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the situation: 'This is a disgrace. We just learned about it.'
In light of the escalating situation in the region, India purchased portable anti-aircraft missile systems 'Igla-S' from Russia for approximately $30 million. This occurred following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
