Driver of Nissan Murano Charged in Fatal Crash That Killed 12: What We Know So Far.
Deadly Highway Collision
According to Espreso.tv: Authorities have formally charged the driver of a Nissan Murano with traffic violations resulting in the deaths of 12 people and injuries to 6 others. The crash occurred on July 4, 2026, at approximately 7:42 a.m. on the Odesa–Melitopol–Novoazovsk highway. Among the deceased were the driver of a minibus and 11 passengers.
Six individuals were also hurt in the incident, including a 15-year-old girl. The driver's actions are being investigated under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect has been detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the investigation remains ongoing.
City Declares Day of Mourning
