Waltz Described Step-by-Step Model of Ceasefire in Ukraine.

US President's Advisor Explained the Plan to End the War Between Russia and Ukraine
US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz explained how Donald Trump's team plans to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. He noted that this process will be phased, and the ceasefire on the front lines will be the last step after a sequential reduction of the conflict. Mike Waltz shared this in an interview with Fox News, reported by 'Glavcom'.
The first step, according to Waltz, will be to halt airstrikes on energy infrastructure.
Waltz believes that both sides must stop launching drones and missiles at energy-related facilities. Otherwise, after the war is over, all of this will have to be restored.
The next step will be a prisoner exchange, which is considered a 'gesture of goodwill.'
Then the advisor finds it reasonable to move to maritime security issues, as both countries have access to the Black Sea and need to trade oil, gas, and grain.
The last and most difficult step will be an agreement on a ceasefire along the frontline.
The most complex issue is the 'line of control' - the trench warfare that has been ongoing over nearly 800 miles, he emphasized.
Earlier, US Special Representative to the Middle East Steve Vitkoff stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is in favor of ending the war.
The meeting of Ukrainian and American delegations took place in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, on March 23.
President Volodymyr Zelensky previously stated that the US would first meet with Ukraine, and then with Russia, but these meetings would take place in parallel and be dedicated to the same topic.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that Kyiv violated the ceasefire with Russia that was previously proposed by US President Donald Trump.
It is noteworthy that Putin supported Trump's idea of mutual refusal by Russia and Ukraine to strike at energy infrastructure for 30 days. However, literally an hour later, the Russians violated the ceasefire by attacking a critical facility in Slovyansk.
Earlier, 'Glavcom' reported that Steve Vitkoff refused to acknowledge that Russia violated the non-aggression agreement on Ukraine's energy infrastructure after the conversation between Trump and Putin.
