The enemy attacked the Intercity+ high-speed train park.
Attack on Intercity+ passenger train
According to inkorr.com: At night, Russian military forces struck the civilian passenger train, resulting in damage to some Intercity+ high-speed trains. This was reported by 'Ukrzaliznytsia' through 'Glavkom'.
The fire was brought under control, but one of the trains was severely damaged. Fortunately, the staff managed to take cover in shelters, and no one was harmed. Flights will not be canceled; a replacement train will be launched. We will provide information on delays, and we are also restoring the damaged infrastructure. Due to problems in Koziatyn, some trains are taking an alternate route.
It is worth noting that in the Vinnytsia region, delays have already occurred due to the attack and damage to the railway infrastructure. Some routes have changed direction, and those passing through the damaged section are now using backup locomotives.
We remind you that on the night of August 28, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine, shelling Kyiv with drones and missiles. As a result, four residents of the city were killed, and another 24 were injured. Additionally, air pollution was recorded in Kyiv – the air quality index reached 182.
This news underscores the consequences of the Russian military's attack on the Intercity+ passenger train, which led to damage to the trains and complications in railway operations across several regions. The current situation highlights the escalation of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, resulting in significant losses both among people and in the country's infrastructure.
