In spite of a difficult fate, he was a cheerful and sincere person. Let's remember Bohdan Usyk.
The commander of a platoon of the National Guard of Ukraine, Bohdan Usyk, died while carrying out a combat mission in the Donetsk direction. The young warrior was distinguished by his professionalism and kindness of heart.
Usyk was born on May 30, 1999, in the Oleksandriiskyi district of the Kirovohrad region. In early childhood, he lost his parents and was cared for by relatives. Since 2007, Bohdan attended school and later graduated from a gymnasium. He then continued his studies at a mining and technology lyceum and a mining and electromechanical college.
In 2023, Usyk signed a contract with the National Guard of Ukraine, underwent training, and earned a reputation as a responsible and disciplined serviceman. As part of his military service, he received several awards and honors.
Usyk was distinguished by his responsibility and organizational skills. He was a favorite among his comrades-in-arms and was always ready to help. Bohdan died on April 9, 2025, in the Donetsk region. He was supposed to celebrate his birthday on May 26, but now he will forever be 25.
Usyk remains in the hearts of his relatives, comrades, and all Ukrainians who honor the memory of fallen soldiers. They light candles of remembrance and pay tribute to all those who sacrifice their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
