The Armed Forces of Ukraine have updated information on the losses of Russian occupiers as of March 17, 2025.
Russia's losses in the war as of March 17, 2025
According to the military General Staff, as of March 17, the Russian Federation has lost:
- over 895 thousand people,
- 10344 tanks,
- 21489 armored fighting vehicles,
- 24598 artillery systems,
- 1318 multiple rocket launchers,
- 1104 air defense systems,
- 370 aircraft,
- 331 helicopters,
- 29467 drones,
- 3121 cruise missiles,
- 28 ships/boats,
- 1 submarine,
- over 40785 units of automotive vehicles and tank trucks,
- 3778 units of special equipment.
Activity of the occupiers' fleet as of March 17
- Black Sea: enemy ships are absent;
- Sea of Azov: enemy ships are absent;
- Mediterranean Sea: 4 enemy ships, including 3 carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 26 missiles.
In one day, 2 vessels entered the Black Sea, including 1 continued moving towards the Bosphorus Strait, and in the Sea of Azov - 9 vessels, of which 5 were moving from the Bosphorus Strait.
In total, the 1118th day of the full-scale war of the Ukrainian people continues.
