Launch of the New Flamingo Missile
According to The Sun: A significant event took place in Ukraine - the launch of the new long-range Flamingo missile under combat conditions.
A video published on Telegram shows the launch of a missile aimed at important targets in Russia.
APThe video from the All-Seeing EYE account shows the first use of a missile during the war.
“Flamingo missiles are already being actively launched at targets in the Russian Federation,” it reads.
It is expected that the strikes were aimed at Crimea, which significantly enhances Kyiv's capabilities in the fight against the occupiers.
This fully domestic missile has a range of 1865 miles, allowing it to strike targets in the European part of Russia and even in Western Siberia. Moscow also falls within reach.
“The launch of the sensational Flamingo missiles manufactured by our company, Fire Point,” said a report on the Nikolaevsky Vanek channel.
The production of the missile began in the Carpathians.
Flamingo avoided Western restrictions on its use for attacks on targets in Russia, unlike missiles supplied by the USA, the UK, and France.
Technological Characteristics and Investigation
The Flamingo missiles are resistant to Russian electronic jamming.
They are compared to the Soviet drone Tu-143 Reis and the German cruise missile V-1, as well as to drones that move at high subsonic speeds.
“Currently our most successful missile”, - assessed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
At the same time, the Ukrainian defense company developing it is under investigation for suspected corruption.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is conducting a check regarding the possible deception of the government about the prices and delivery timelines of long-range drones.
This came after successful attacks by Ukrainian drones that destroyed two Russian bridges serving as vital supply routes for the troops.
