YouTube launches multilingual dubbing for all creators: how it will work.
YouTube launches multilingual audio
According to Korrespondent.net: YouTube has announced the implementation of a new multilingual audio feature that will allow content creators to add dubbing to their videos in different languages, TechCrunch reports.
This feature will be available to all creators in the coming weeks.
The function was first introduced in 2023 as part of a pilot project that involved only a few creators, including popular bloggers like MrBeast, Mark Rober, and chef Jamie Oliver. Previously, content creators had to collaborate with third-party companies for dubbing, but now YouTube has integrated an automated tool based on Google Gemini technology, which is capable of reproducing the intonation and emotions of the author during the translation.
According to the company, during testing, authors noticed an increase in views. On average, more than 25% of the viewing time for videos with multilingual tracks was attributed to languages different from the primary one.
Recall that since July 15, YouTube has updated its monetization policy, restricting earnings from 'non-authentic' content - in particular, videos created using artificial intelligence.

The new tool from YouTube could significantly change the approach to content on the platform, allowing creators to reach an even larger audience and contributing to the expansion of linguistic diversity in the online space. This is especially important in a globalized world, where communication between cultures is becoming increasingly relevant.
