Gold continues to rise
: the price of a gram of bank gold of the highest purity (999.9) is 5,580.73 UAH. The regulator also reviewed the prices of other categories:
  • gold that needs to be brought up to quality standards — 5,563.99 UAH/g;
  • metal that does not meet the requirements for banking metals — 5,524.92 UAH/g.

Silver also experienced growth. Bank silver reached a record of 70.37 UAH per gram. Unqualified metal is valued at 66.85 UAH per gram.

Experts note that the increase in the value of precious metals has been ongoing for several weeks. The main reason is the global financial crisis and increased demand for 'safe assets'. According to economists, bank gold is traditionally considered a reliable way to protect savings from inflationary risks and currency fluctuations.

Growth of gold prices in the world

Significant price fluctuations are also observed in international markets. According to Reuters,

the price of an ounce of gold reached
4,243 dollars, setting a new record. Precious silver rose to 53.60 dollars per ounce but later partially decreased to 52.88 dollars.

Other precious metals also increased in price: platinum reached 1,669.60 dollars per ounce (+0.9%), while palladium rose to 1,540.25 dollars (+0.3%).

Analysts believe that if geopolitical tensions and financial uncertainty persist, gold prices may rise even further, remaining among safe assets.

Earlier, we reported that in Ukraine

the cost of bank gold increased
. In 'PrivatBank', the price of bars in the fall of 2025 reached a record — from 6,920 UAH per gram in the lowest category to 564 thousand UAH for a 100-gram bar.

The increase in prices for gold and silver may significantly impact the market and investors in Ukraine. Many experts believe that investing in these metals amid economic instability is becoming increasingly attractive, which could raise interest in them both in domestic and foreign markets.
