On January 31, 2025, an enemy FPV drone hit the car in which Serhii Savchenko was traveling with other fighters, and he died. This was reported by the Dmytrivka village territorial community.
Serhii Savchenko was born on September 29, 1980. He lived in the village of Mykhailivka in the Oleksandrivka community of the Kropyvnytskyi district. He was the director of an agricultural enterprise.
According to the Dmytrivka village territorial community, Serhii Savchenko was known not only as a successful businessman but also as a philanthropist who always responded to requests for help and always assisted villagers in times of need.

«It is very painful to lose Serhii for us and all of Ukraine. He was always active, initiative, and polite. We sincerely sympathize with Serhii's family, friends, and comrades,» the Dmytrivka village territorial community stated.
«Glavkom» also joins the moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the fight for the Motherland. We pay tribute to those who fell at the hands of the Russian occupiers, lighting candles of remembrance and bowing our heads in sorrow during the nationwide minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our country: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the struggle against Russian occupiers and as a result of enemy attacks on our cities and villages.
