Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Roman Sidor.

On September 4, 2024, while defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, Roman Sidor died. This was reported by the Lviv city council.

Roman Sidor was born on November 26, 1974. He studied at the Sykhiv Lyceum. He received higher education at the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” in the specialty of “Industrial and Civil Engineering”.

After receiving higher education, he worked in his field. In his free Time, he was actively engaged in football, fishing, and playing chess.

Joining the defense of Ukraine against occupiers, Sidor defended it as part of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstislav the Brave.

For personal bravery, the defender of Ukraine was awarded the “Knight's Cross” medal. He was dedicated to his country and comrades, with whom he performed combat missions together. Roman Sidor died on September 4, 2024.

The warrior-defender was buried on September 11, 2024, at the Lychakiv Cemetery.

Roman Sidor left behind a mother and sister.

We remember those killed by the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of memory, and bow our heads in sorrow during the nationwide minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military, civilians, and children, all who died fighting against the Russian occupiers and as a result of the enemy forces' attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages.”
