Property tax: what awaits Ukrainians in 2025
According to information from the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Kyiv, Ukrainians will have to calculate their property tax for the past year 2024 in 2025.
The tax notification contains a detailed calculation of the tax and information about the address, area of the property, and possible benefits for payment.
The property tax is paid by individuals who own apartments larger than 60 sq. m, houses over 120 sq. m, other types of housing larger than 180 sq. m, as well as non-residential real estate.
Individuals must pay the tax within 60 days from the moment of receiving the tax notification-decision for 2024.
The property tax is of great importance as it contributes to the funding of social and economic programs, infrastructure, and other important matters in Ukraine.
