National Police detained a drug business earning $500 thousand a month: how the scheme worked.
Detention of participants in a drug organization in three cities of Ukraine
The police detained 11 participants of the drug organization in three cities of Ukraine. They were involved in cocaine trafficking during curfew and earned up to $500,000 a month.
This information was published by the National Police on August 18.
Activities of the drug organization
The police discovered that the participants used improperly issued volunteer identification cards and fake permits to deliver drugs to VIP clients. The price for a gram of cocaine with 'night taxi' service reached $250.
'The main organizer of this 'startup' controlled all actions of his subordinates via phone. The gang members established a communication system in messengers, where they promised continuous delivery 24/7',
The police identified all members of this organization. The organizer skillfully selected couriers who passed selection and verification. His deputy was responsible for financial issues and monitored all activities of the participants.
'To stop the gang's operations, the employees of the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a special operation in Odesa, Dnipro, and Kyiv. Drugs, weapons, cash in national and foreign currencies, mobile phones, and bank cards worth over 1.6 million UAH were seized,'
All detainees in Kyiv are suspected of creating, leading an illegal organization, and illegal drug trafficking. For these crimes, up to 12 years of imprisonment with property confiscation is anticipated. The court kept them in custody.
This is yet another successful example of countering drug dealers in various regions of Ukraine.
