Ukraine Partners with E3 Countries on Anti-Ballistic Defense
According to Espreso.tv: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a new collaboration with the E3 nations—France, Germany, and the United Kingdom—to develop anti-ballistic missile systems. This initiative comes as Russia’s ongoing aggression continues to threaten Ukrainian airspace, making advanced defense capabilities a critical priority. The UK is already involved in building a European anti-ballistic system, while France has pledged to assist Ukraine in creating its own indigenous missile defense capacity.
Zelenskyy also stressed the urgent need for increased funding for Ukraine’s armed forces.
“Being a soldier is dangerous, and we must ensure they receive fair salaries,”he stated. Expressing hope that
“our friends will step up,”the president underscored the vital role of international solidarity during this challenging period.
New Sanctions and Military Recruitment Models Under Discussion
During the meeting, participants agreed on the necessity of imposing further restrictions on the aggressor state.
“Those at the table concurred that additional measures against the aggressor nation are required,”
Zelenskyy noted. He also emphasized that Ukraine must transition to a contract-based military recruitment model, a move designed to enhance the effectiveness of its defense forces.This partnership with the E3 countries marks a significant step in strengthening Ukraine’s national security amid a protracted war with Russia. The deployment of new anti-ballistic systems could dramatically improve the safety of Ukraine’s skies. Combined with increased military funding and a shift toward professional military service, these efforts reflect the Ukrainian leadership’s commitment to better serving its troops and boosting defense efficiency in the fight against the aggressor.
