Zelensky announced a conversation with Biden about NATO and allowed the stationing of foreign troops in Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, plans to discuss the issue of inviting Ukraine to NATO with US President Joe Biden. He intends to call Biden and address this topic as it is important for Ukraine. Zelensky also pointed out the difficulties in communicating with President Trump due to his absence in the White House and limited opportunities to influence foreign policy decisions.
'I plan to call President Biden in the near future when he has the opportunity to talk to me and discuss the issue of NATO invitation. Because he is now the sitting President of the USA, and a lot depends on his position,' wrote Zelensky.
Zelensky also expressed his gratitude to the US administration and personally to Joe Biden for the financial support of Ukraine in the amount of 988 million dollars. He emphasized that the country needs protection during the transitional period and supported Macron's proposal for the temporary stationing of allies on Ukrainian territory.
'The most important thing is to have a clear action plan. Ukraine is not only seeking formal commitments but real steps towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration. We need concrete support from partners and clear prospects for joining international security structures,' emphasized Zelensky.
It was also reported that President Trump spoke about the war and support for Ukraine.
