Zelensky announced special contracts for young military personnel with increased pay.
Young people will be able to sign contracts in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with combat brigades, plans to introduce a new contract to attract young people aged 18 to 24 to the army. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during an interview with Reuters.
According to Zelensky, this new format of military service will have a one-year term and will offer significant advantages for contract personnel.
'Combat brigades, experienced, together with the Ministry of Defense are working on a contract option for young people aged 18 to 24. This is for those who want to join, it is not mobilization,' emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.
It is important to note that this format of service is voluntary and not related to the mobilization measures being conducted in the country.
The President emphasized that servicemen under the new contract will have 'very high salaries' and will receive a number of benefits. Details of this innovation will be announced in the coming days.
Recall that previously Volodymyr Zelensky extended the duration of martial law and mobilization.
