Ukraine Expands Strike Zone Deep Into Russia: Zelenskyy Announces 2,884 km Range Capability.
Ukraine’s Military Capabilities Are Growing
According to UATV: Speaking at Ukraine’s Statehood Day events on July 15, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is now capable of striking targets up to 2,884 kilometers away, significantly expanding its reach inside Russia. This new range allows Ukrainian forces to target Russian oil infrastructure and other strategic assets far beyond previous limits. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is actively developing its long-range strike capabilities, marking a major shift in the country’s military posture.
For the first time, Ukraine is building its own ballistic missile system and implementing deep-strike tactics.
“Ukraine is building its own ballistic missiles and deep-strike capabilities for the first time. This is not just research—it is real power that is already in operation, covering distances that were previously unreachable: 2,884 kilometers,” Zelenskyy stated. This development demonstrates that the Ukrainian military can now hit targets at distances once thought impossible, fundamentally altering the battlefield dynamics.
Zelenskyy also declared that no location within the territory of aggression is beyond the reach of Ukrainian justice.
“There are no longer any coordinates within the territory of evil that are beyond the reach of Ukrainian justice,” he said. This statement underscores Ukraine’s determination to counter aggression and ensure security and accountability across its territory.
Modern Warfare Strategies
Ukraine is also deploying around 500 drones daily as part of its evolving military strategy. These efforts highlight the ongoing modernization of Ukraine’s armed forces and their ability to adapt to new challenges on the battlefield.
The expansion of Ukraine’s military capabilities, especially its ability to strike at long distances, could significantly alter the regional balance of power. It also reflects Ukraine’s push for military independence and technological advancement, which may shape future conflict strategies. In the face of modern threats, the active use of drones and innovative tactical approaches underscores Ukraine’s readiness to adapt to changing battlefield conditions and strengthen its defense capabilities.
