Zelensky did not blame himself in the scandal with Trump

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appeared on the American television channel Fox News after an unpleasant meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, which ended in a public dispute. During the interview, Zelensky thanked the American side for its support but refused to apologize.

'I am grateful to Trump and the people of the USA for their help. You helped us survive,' Zelensky said.

He also noted that he sees no grounds for apologies from Ukraine.

'I respect the president and respect the American people. I don't think we did anything wrong,' he emphasized.

The president explained that the argument in the Oval Office harmed both sides.

'I think this did not serve anyone's interests,' Zelensky noted.

He also emphasized Ukraine's readiness for a peaceful resolution but stated that the country must remain strong.

'We are ready for peace. But we must be in a strong position. We need guarantees,' Zelensky said.

The president also announced Ukraine's readiness for an agreement on rare earth minerals.

'We are ready to sign an agreement on minerals. But this is not enough,' he noted.

Zelensky reacted to statements about the necessity of his resignation, emphasizing that decisions about the president should only be made by Ukrainians.

In the interview, he also mentioned that it would be difficult for Ukraine without U.S. support, but he cannot change the attitude towards Russia.

'I cannot change our attitude towards the Russians because they are murderers. They are our enemies,' Zelensky stated.

When asked about returning to the White House, he replied that he does not wish to do so.
