Zelensky plans to attend the opening of the renovated Notre-Dame Cathedral
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky plans to participate in the ceremony of opening the renovated Notre-Dame Cathedral on December 7.
The event is also expected to be attended by elected U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to AFP, which cites a senior official from Ukraine, during his visit to Paris, a meeting between Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron is planned. Bilateral talks with other world leaders, including Donald Trump, are also possible.
The Élysée Palace has not yet revealed the full list of invitees, but it is known that about 50 heads of state are expected to attend. Donald Trump has officially confirmed his participation in the ceremony.
On the eve of the event, on November 29, President Macron personally inspected the updated interior of the cathedral. Notably, tickets for the first services in the renovated cathedral sold out in less than two hours.
It is worth noting that this fall Zelensky already met with Trump in New York, as well as held a phone conversation with him after the elections. This week in Washington, a meeting took place between the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, and the elected U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance and future National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
