Zelensky announced the deadline for ending the war: what is known about the plan for 2026.
According to ТСН: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope that by January 2026 it will be possible to fully agree on a plan to end the war.
He made this statement at a press conference, summarizing the results of negotiations with US President Donald Trump.
“I hope we will have decisions regarding all documents in January,” Zelensky said.
Trump, for his part, added that, in his opinion, discussing these issues could take several weeks. If agreements cannot be reached in this time, the war may drag on.
It was also previously reported that Trump plans to continue communicating with Zelensky tomorrow.
Additionally, Trump noted that there are signs for concluding a peace agreement that would be beneficial for Ukraine.
The situation in Ukraine remains complicated; however, these high-level negotiations may open new opportunities for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. President Zelensky's hopes for specific agreements in 2026 indicate a positive approach to global discussions about the country's future.
