President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with key representatives of the country's defense sector. The meeting was attended by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and Chief of the General Staff Anatolii Bargilevych.

The participants discussed military tasks for the near future and issues of ensuring the effectiveness of the Ukrainian military at the front lines. Oleksandr Syrskyi provided a detailed report on the situation in all directions of combat operations and repelling enemy attacks. Special attention was paid to the Kursk operation. According to the president, Ukrainian troops maintain their positions and do not allow the enemy to expand the war into Ukrainian territory.

Zelensky emphasized the importance of creating a "buffer zone" near the Ukrainian border on Russian territory instead of the Russian plans for such a zone in Ukraine. He expressed gratitude to Ukrainian warriors for their bravery.
