Zelenskyy Holds Talks with UK's David Lammy
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with David Lammy, the United Kingdom's Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Justice, in Kyiv on January 16. Discussions also covered new packages of energy assistance for Ukraine, as the country's infrastructure faces relentless bombardment.
President Zelenskyy stressed the vital importance of international support given the ongoing missile attacks targeting Ukraine's energy grid. He stated:
'This is very important. There are many daily missile attacks on our energy sector right now, and any support is a great support.' - Volodymyr Zelenskyy
The meeting noted that the United Kingdom has committed a new package of energy aid, marking a significant step in supporting Ukraine's resilience.
Sanctions and Diplomatic Initiatives Discussed
The talks also addressed sanctions policy against Russia. Zelenskyy reported that, according to officially recorded data, Russia is losing approximately 30,000 military personnel each month. He also touched on Russia's recruitment of foreign nationals into its army, stating:

'I am very grateful that we, together with the United Kingdom and France, signed this first step of the Coalition of the Capable.
