Zelensky: The US is ready to monitor compliance with the ceasefire with Russia.
According to ТСН: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the United States is ready to join mechanisms for monitoring the future ceasefire.
This information was announced during a press conference following the "Coalition of the Willing" meeting in Paris.
The main topic of discussion was the issue of protection against potential violations of agreements by Russia. According to the President, the involvement of the US in verifying security conditions is critically important for Ukraine.
“We had very concrete discussions today with the American team regarding monitoring to ensure there are no violations of peace. America is ready to work on this. It is very important for us,” emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.
What is known about the meeting in Paris
A meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing" is taking place in France, in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is participating.
More than 30 officials from various countries joined the event. The US is represented by envoys of American leader Donald Trump - Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
It was also reported that the new head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Budanov, arrived in Paris with Zelensky.
As a result of the meeting, Ukraine, France, and Britain signed a declaration on deploying Western forces.
Volodymyr Zelensky described the new Paris declaration as "very concrete", emphasizing that it demonstrates the coalition's and European states' readiness to work towards achieving peace.
The President of France also summarized the key agreements after the meeting. Overall, the results of this meeting indicate continued support for Ukraine from Western allies and a willingness to work on ensuring stability in the region.
