Zelensky Warns of Imminent Large-Scale Russian Strike: Urges Vigilance on Air Raid Alerts.
Address by the President of Ukraine
According to UATV: President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a strong appeal to the public, urging heightened attention to air raid warnings due to the threat of a massive Russian attack expected in the coming days. The situation remains critical, the president emphasized, stressing the need for increased caution.
Battlefield Developments
On June 20, 2023—marking the 1,578th day of the war—new Russian strikes were recorded across Ukraine, including over 200 Shahed drones. These attacks targeted multiple regions, such as:
- Donetsk Oblast
- Sumy Oblast
- Kharkiv Oblast
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Fatalities were reported in Zaporizhzhia as a result of these assaults.
In a significant countermeasure, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces struck the Tyumen region of Russia, located more than 2,000 kilometers away. Long-range FP drones can reach targets up to 3,000 kilometers, highlighting the Ukrainian military’s capability to conduct operations at great distances.
The president also noted that gasoline supplies from Belarus to Russia surged 13-fold between January and May 2023, potentially signaling preparations for further aggressive actions.
“Russia must stop its aggression,”Zelensky stated, calling for peace.
“This war needs to end. Peace is necessary,”he added, underscoring the urgency of resolving the conflict.
In light of these developments, Ukrainian citizens are urged to remain alert and follow updates from official sources.
The president’s address reflects the tense situation on the front lines and the escalating conflict between Ukraine and Russia. The increase in Russian attacks and the proactive operations of Ukrainian forces indicate a sharpening of hostilities, demanding extra caution from civilians. This also underscores the importance of continued international support for Ukraine in countering aggression, as well as the need for constant monitoring of the situation to ensure public safety.
