Zelensky suggested how to play the 'trump card' with the captive North Koreans.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that the Russian army is becoming increasingly dependent on military assistance from North Korea. Some soldiers from North Korea have already been captured by Ukrainian troops, and the capture of other soldiers is just a matter of Time.
'No one in the world should have doubts that the Russian army is dependent on military assistance from North Korea,' Zelensky emphasized.
The president also noted that three years ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin began making ultimatums to NATO and rewriting history. However, today Moscow is turning to Pyongyang for support, indicating the Kremlin's critical dependence on external allies.
Ukraine is ready to hand over the captured North Korean soldiers to Kim Jong Un if it helps exchange them for Ukrainian soldiers who are in Russian captivity. Zelensky also noted that alternative pathways may be offered to North Korean soldiers who do not want to return home.
'Those Koreans who wish to promote peace by spreading the truth about this war will be given such an opportunity,' he added. This could be an important step in spreading genuine information about the conflict among the citizens of North Korea.
Zelensky expressed confidence that the Ukrainian military will continue to demonstrate its ability to defend the country, particularly in the case of external threats and the involvement of new forces in the conflict.
