Zelensky on attacks on pensioners: The Russians definitely knew where they were hitting.
According to inkorr.com: In the evening of September 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to a new tragedy caused by Russian aggression. The village of Yarova in Donetsk region was hit by an enemy guided bomb while civilians were receiving their pensions.
“The Russians definitely knew where they were hitting and clearly saw that they were hitting civilians. These were ordinary people receiving pensions,” Zelensky stated.
As of now, 24 deaths and 19 injuries have been reported. All victims are receiving the necessary medical assistance. The president also sharply criticized the insufficient international response to such Russian crimes.
“The Russians continue to kill, and it is horrifying that there is not a sufficiently strong response from global actors. This is exactly what Putin perceives as permission to continue fighting,” he emphasized.
In his address, the president highlighted the importance of strengthening air defense, expressed gratitude for international support, and called on all countries of the world to take measures in response to the situation.
Volodymyr Zelensky also stressed the importance of paying attention to civilian victims of the conflict and the necessity of support in strengthening Ukraine's air defense.
This tragedy serves as a reminder of the severe consequences of war for the civilian population and underscores the importance of international solidarity in combating aggression. The reaction of the global community to such events will affect the further development of events, as Ukraine's defense relies not only on internal resources but also on the support of international partners.
