The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky decided to strengthen the command staff of the troops in Donetsk region and expressed satisfaction with the successes of the Ukrainian military in the Kursk direction, where active hostilities have been ongoing for six months to protect our land.
According to his decision, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty will head the operational-strategic group of troops called 'Khortytsia'. He will also retain the position of commander of the Land Forces. Major General Andriy Hnatov has been appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff.
Zelensky particularly noted the achievements of the 95th Separate Brigade in Kursk, the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade, and the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade in the Pokrovsk direction, as well as the 24th and 100th Separate Mechanized Brigades in the battles for Chasiv Yar and Toretsk.
The head of state also thanked Ukrainian developers and manufacturers of long-range drones and missiles, noting their impact on reducing Russia's military capabilities. 'The unrest in Russia, the reduction of Russia's ability to sell and process oil, the decrease in global oil prices - this is all that is needed to ensure peace,' emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.
