Zelensky dispelled the myth about hundreds of billions of dollars in American aid to Ukraine.
Zelensky refuted the widespread information about 200 billion dollars from the USA
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, denied the statement that Ukraine received 200 billion dollars from the USA to support the army and other needs. According to the president, such figures are false.
“When I hear and have heard before and today we hear from the United States of America that America gave Ukraine hundreds of billions... 177, to be more precise, that was the exact figure supported or voted by Congress, etc., various organizations” - Zelensky reported.
According to Zelensky, the actual assistance from the USA amounts to over 75 billion dollars, but this is mainly weapons that Ukraine has received, not direct financial injections.
“Because we received this not in money, but in weapons. We received arms worth over 70 billion” - he emphasized.
Highlighting also the training, transportation, and humanitarian aid that Ukraine receives from the USA, Zelensky stressed the importance of specificity in such matters to avoid distortions in the media.
“But when they say that Ukraine during the war received 200 billion to support the army, etc., that is false” - he stated.
Zelensky also stated that he does not know where these false figures come from.
Earlier, in his interview on Fox News, Zelensky assessed Trump's position regarding the end of the war in Ukraine.
