Ukraine is preparing for a meeting with the administration of the US president and is considering opportunities for joint extraction of minerals

Ukraine plans to have upcoming meetings with representatives of President Donald Trump's administration and is considering the possibility of joint mineral extraction. This was reported by Volodymyr Zelensky after a meeting with the Director General of the IAEA Rafael Grossi.

'The head of the President's Office had a conversation with Vold (advisor on national security, - ed), and with Kellogg (special representative for Ukraine and Russia) my team had contact. We already have working dates when the American team will arrive. Dates and composition are currently being agreed upon, and we are waiting for the teams. We will work together,' Zelensky said.

Regarding the US president's proposal to exchange rare earth metals for assistance, the Ukrainian leader supports cooperation: 'We are ready to develop minerals together with our partners, who help protect our land and restrain the enemy with their weapons, their presence, and sanctions packages. This is fair. I already spoke about this in September during a meeting with President Trump,' Zelensky noted.

Andrii Yermak, head of the President's Office, made a phone call to the US president's national security advisor Michael Vold. 'We discussed the situation on the battlefield, the course of mobilization, and the most important challenges for Ukraine. I emphasized that the support of our partners, especially the US, is extremely important,' Yermak reported on his Telegram channel.

According to Yermak, the parties also discussed organizing a personal meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and the US in the near future.
