Zelensky and Milei discussed peace initiatives and their sabotage by Russia.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the President of Argentina Javier Milei to discuss various issues, including initiatives for ensuring peace and cooperation between countries.
Zelensky expressed his condolences to the Argentine people over the natural disaster caused by flooding, which resulted in the deaths of 16 people and left thousands of families homeless. The President stated that Ukraine is ready to provide assistance to address the consequences of this tragedy.
Additionally, significant attention was given to efforts aimed at achieving a just peace. Zelensky informed Milei about the meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations in Jeddah on March 11, during which Ukraine supported the U.S. proposal to establish an unconditional 30-day ceasefire regime. However, the President of Ukraine noted that Russia has put forward additional demands, which effectively means a rejection of this peace initiative.
'Ukraine relies on Javier Milei's voice to bring closer the achievement of peace,' the message about the conversation states.
The two leaders also discussed opportunities for developing relations between the countries, particularly in the field of trade and economy.
