Massive attack on Ukraine

According to ТСН: At night, Ukrainian regions fell victim to a massive attack by the Russian army, which launched 450 attack drones and 30 missiles of various types. These strikes targeted energy infrastructure, resulting in thousands of Ukrainians being left without electricity, as well as issues with heating and water supply.

“All necessary services are currently working to restore electricity and water supply in the communities affected by the night Russian attack. The main blow was again to energy, in the south and Odesa region. Thousands of families are now left without light,” he emphasized.

According to the President of Ukraine, more than ten civilian facilities were damaged across various regions of the country as a result of the attack. Power outages have been recorded in Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions, as well as Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy areas being under fire.

“They still want to destroy our state, to inflict as much pain as possible on our people. We need support in everything that will help protect lives and end this war: strengthening air defense and our soldiers at the front, enhancing our long-range capabilities, and increasing pressure on Russia,” Zelensky noted.

The President of Ukraine also emphasized the need to continue pressing Moscow to force the Kremlin to end the war it started.

Moreover, air alerts were declared across Ukraine during the night and in the morning due to drone and missile attacks, particularly 'Calibers' and 'Kinzhal' missiles. Odesa region suffered one of the largest blows, leading to damage to civilian facilities, energy, and industrial infrastructure. Odesa was left without electricity, and trains heading toward the city are experiencing significant delays.

There were also reports of a massive attack on Ukraine's energy system, resulting in damage to Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions. In some areas, part of the consumers were left without electricity.

This attack once again highlights the threats that Ukraine faces due to prolonged aggression from Russia. Restoring damaged infrastructure and supporting affected communities remain pressing tasks for the state and the government, which are working to restore normal life in the country. Currently, it is important for the international community to continue supporting Ukraine in its pursuit of peace and stability.
