Zelensky in Berlin: talks with Merz and videoconference with Trump.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Berlin, Germany on August 13 for a series of meetings. Among them are talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, participation in a videoconference with US President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, as well as a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing.
The press secretary of the Ukrainian leader announced possible statements from Zelensky and Merz to the media at 5:00 PM Kyiv time. In recent days, the president has held over 30 conversations with partners regarding negotiations with the Russian Federation and pathways to achieve peace, including with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who expressed readiness to host a meeting of the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, and the US in his country.
The visit of the President of Ukraine to Germany is of great importance for international relations and finding paths for peace in the region. Meetings and negotiations are beneficial for Ukraine, contributing to strengthening partnerships and supporting important initiatives.
