Europe Must Unite to Defend Land, Air, and Sea, Zelenskyy Urges JEF Summit.

A Call for Joint Action

According to Novyny.live: On March 26, Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the JEF Leaders' Summit in Helsinki, delivering a strong appeal for deeper cooperation. He argued that Europe must forge a unified defense strategy covering land, air, and maritime domains.

I am convinced that in Europe we need to establish closer collaboration between Ukraine, the JEF nations, and all European states to ensure genuine protection on the ground, in the sky, and at sea.

New Agreements and Defense Initiatives

Beyond the call for unity, the summit saw the signing of several bilateral agreements between Ukraine and Spain, represented by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. These deals aim to strengthen ties and cooperation across multiple sectors. A key development was also the agreement between Ukraine and the Netherlands to ramp up joint weapons production. This initiative is designed to bolster Ukraine’s defensive capabilities and deepen military collaboration between the two countries.

Additionally, Amsterdam committed to an annual support package of €3 billion, underscoring the Netherlands’ willingness to actively back Ukraine amid current challenges. This funding could play a crucial role in strengthening regional defense and stability. As a result, the partnership between Ukraine, JEF member states, and other European nations is taking on new dimensions, reflecting a shared commitment to security and progress.
